I am based in Berthoud, Colorado, but have traveled extensively throughout the western states and Mexico.
As a professional biologist and outreach specialist, I am familiar with animal behavior and habitats in North America - this experience serves well when photos or text are needed for specific species.
ethics
I only consider shooting animals in manipulated settings when requested, necessary permits are in place, and it is necessary to convey the information needed. I do not believe in baiting, chasing, instigating, or teasing animals for a good photo. If you're looking for photos of wildlife taken in natural habitats without physical manipulation, please consider my work!
locations
I'm able to travel more easily to any U.S. state or territory, but will consider traveling to any country that is relatively politically stable. As a field biologist, I'm used to spending days in remote areas with rugged terrain and inclement weather.
rates
My rates vary depending on the scope of the assignment, travel involved, status of the employer. Rates are lower for non-profit organisations with focus on conservation - this is a small way I can support such organizations.
